McCartney Reflects On His Debut Solo Album

48 years since the release of his first official solo album, McCartney, Paul reflects on the writing process and the bare bones, one-man approach he took to recording the seminal album.

All four Beatles released solo albums in 1970. Ringo (released two) was first, beating Paul by mere weeks. Paul’s was the only one to be recorded without anyone else (save for some harmony & backing vocals by Linda)
