Elton John has landed an Oscar nomination for his 2019 biopic Rocketman.
Elton and lyricist Bernie Taupin were nominated for Best Original Song for “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again”. It’s Sir Elton’s second career Oscar nomination. He won Best Original Song in 1995 for “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King.
“(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song at the 77th Golden Globe Awards.
Dreaming Into It is due out April 25th on Dark Horse Records and will feature appearances by Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart of The Kills.
