It’s been a big year for Wolfgang Van Halen.

His band Mammoth WVH toured with Guns N’ Roses, headlined arenas, and just landed its first Grammy nomination.

Mammoth WVH earned a Best Rock Song nomination for “Distance”, Wolfgang’s tribute to his late father Eddie Van Halen.

He told Ultimate Classic Rock the nomination was “a huge surprise and an incredible honor”.

He added “I wish my dad was here to see it. He’d probably just be going, ‘See? I told you so.’ Because he believed in me more than I believe in myself.”
