Pro-shot video has been released of Metallica’s cover of Elton John’s “Funeral for a Friend / Love Lies Bleeding” from 1973’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

The performance was recorded in March when Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin were awarded the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

At the end of the performance, John and Taupin clearly show how much they approved of Metallica’s cover.
