Bruce Springsteen Shares Cover to Benefit Ailing Musician

Bruce Springsteen has covered a song by NYC artist Jesse Malin for an upcoming tribute album.

“She Don’t Love Me Now”, recorded with Malin’s band and E Street Band saxophonist Jake Clemons, was released this week and appears on the album Silver Patron Saints: The Songs Of Jesse Malin. Springsteen had previously performed vocals on “Broken Radio” from Jesse Malin’s 2007 solo album Glitter in the Gutter.

Jesse Malin suffered an extremely rare spinal stroke in June 2023 which left him paralyzed from the waist down, as he continues his recovery.

Silver Patron Saints: The Songs of Jesse Malin finds many of Malin’s famous friends covering his songs to benefit his Sweet Relief fund which will help pay for his medical care. Other featured artists include Elvis Costello, Counting Crows, Butch Walker, Lucinda Williams, The Wallflowers, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and many more.
