Some of my favorite music memories have come from driving around in my car. For me, it’s always been a special way to get to know a song, and in a larger sense — myself. Let’s face it, music just hits different on the road. I started in the shower now I’m here! Just kidding, I still sing in the shower… but belting while driving is definitely one of my favorite pastimes. There’s just no better feeling than that first road trip of the summer, and for my rock ‘n roll soul especially, the trip is all about the jams.
I’m absolutely a “windows down” kind of gal, even though my long hair hates me for it. Trust me when I say, the feeling I get when the wind whips my hair around to my favorite tunes makes the tangles oh so worth it. There are many songs I love, but I have a select bunch that I aways make a point to blast in my car come summertime. Some are fast and energetic; others are heartfelt and deep. No matter the vibe, these songs are important to me, and hearing them bump through my speakers makes me super excitable and immensely obsessed with life. My road trip playlist is just over three hours, so head up north, rock out and enjoy:
