Classic Rock & Zombies

Every year there are several zombie movies that come out, to the point where it seems people are getting sick of zombies.

Unless you’re a Walking Dead fan.

Back in 1978, if someone told the members of Queen that one of their songs would one day be used in a movie where characters are beating up on a zombie, they likely would not have believed them. Or possibly guessed incorrectly at which one would be used.

In 2004, Edgar Wright released the hilarious zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, and the movie contains a scene where the characters are hiding out in a dark bar when the power comes on and Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” starts playing as they are beating up on a zombie. It’s fantastic, and one of the funniest moments of the movie.

If director Edgar Wright decided one day to do a sequel to Shaun of the Dead, might we suggest, for comedic effect, Queen’s “All Dead, All Dead”.
