Minnesota Pocket Pet Rescue is turning 11 years old this year, so we’re throwing a birthday party to celebrate and you’re all invited! The event is sponsored this year by Joyments and Critter Couriers.

This FREE family-friendly event will include, a guinea pig ‘pignic’, Animal Ambassadors of multiple pocket pet species you can meet, face painting, free crafts, games, pocket pet care presentation, merch, music, food, and more!

WHERE IS IT?
Our friends at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley will be hosting us for this event. Look for balloons that day to direct you to the entrance.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES!
-All Day: Collection for a Critters supply drive
-11am-Noon: Pet A Hedgehog – meet our Ambassador hedgehogs!
-Noon – 1pm: Guinea Pig “Pignic” – feed our Ambassador guinea pigs their lunch
-1pm – 1:30pm: Pocket Pet Care presentation by Maplebrook Pet Care Center staff
-1pm – 3pm: “Paint my Pocket Pet” offered by AHS (see registration details below)
-2pm – 3pm: Pet A Hedgehog – meet our Ambassador hedgehogs!

GAMES all day!
-Pin the Tail on the Pocket Pet – Free
-Pocket Pet PLINKO – $1 & everyone wins a prize!
-Who Eats Hay? matching game – Free
-Lollipop Tree – $1 & everyone wins a prize!

PAINT MY POCKET PET
Animal Humane Society Education/Artists will offer this special activity from 1pm – 3pm where you can paint your pet (or pocket pet) on canvas! You must pre-register for the activity, upload a photo of your pet, pay the fee to cover supplies, and the artist will have your canvas ready for you to paint at our Birthday Bash. The Artist will be on hand to assist with paint colors and techniques, and you can go home with a cool painting of your pet! Registration is $20
