Brad Blanks: 2022 Year in Review

Another fun year interviewing a range of characters, from actors to musicians to comedians. But certainly not Bill Gates.

Steve Gorman, Founding Member of The Black Crowes, Joins The KQ Morning Show

We’re very excited to announce that Steve Gorman will be joining the KQ Morning Show! Besides being known as a founding member of the iconic American rock band The Black Crowes, Steve is also a syndicated radio host, author, podcaster, and a new resident of Minnesota.

Gorman will join Brian Zepp, Tony Lee and Candice Wheeler weekday mornings from 6am – 10am on KQRS. He can also be heard weeknights from 7pm-midnight on his Westwood One syndicated radio show Steve Gorman Rocks!

“When I got the call gauging my interest in the KQ Morning Show, I thought at first it must be a prank. A unique and truly iconic rock station in one of my favorite cities on Earth? Incredible. Easiest decision I’ve ever made. I can’t wait to get started.”

– Steve Gorman

Steve Gorman began his radio career in 2011 with Steve Gorman SPORTS!, which aired in Nashville. The show was later syndicated nationally on Fox Sports Radio. After leaving the Black Crowes in 2014, Gorman penned his memoir, Hard to Handle: The Life and Death of The Black Crowes. Gorman launched Steve Gorman Rocks! with Westwood One, America’s largest audio network, in August 2019. As a musician, Gorman toured the world relentlessly for three decades, performing as a drummer with artists who are mainstays of Classic Rock playlists today, from AC/DC to ZZ Top, including the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Heart, Metallica, and Jimmy Page.

Patrick Schwarzenegger

Brad Blanks went along to the red carpet in New York City for the premiere of The Staircase (HBO Max). Patrick Schwarzenegger plays one of the sons in this true crime story, and has a wild opening scene.

Stephen Merchant

Stephen Merchant, one of the legends of comedy, has a new show called The Outlaws (Amazon Prime Video), which is a thriller/comedy. Brad loved the scene where Merchant gets caught with a hooker in the show. Stephen Merchant breaks down what inspired him for the scene.

Rose Leslie

You’d remember Rose Leslie as “Ygritte”, Jon Snow’s love interest, on Game of Thrones. The two actors have been married to each other since 2018. She now stars in The Time Traveler’s Wife (HBO Max).
